POSITION SUMMARY:
Current Opening: One full-time position (Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – $:30 PM)
Provide routine assistance as needed in Human Resources Department
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be the first point of contact for customers and assist or direct individuals appropriately.
- Answer phones and route calls appropriately.
- Report new hire information to state as required.
- Manage the employee identification badge process.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of employee personnel files according to state and federal guidelines.
- Work closely with department leaders to determine department staffing needs and applicant requirements.
- Manage the job posting and advertising of new positions in coordination with Marketing staff.
- Work closely with potential applicants to determine employment eligibility and best fit within the organization.
- Responsible for setting up and completing pre-employment and other onboarding tasks with all new hires.
- Ensure tracking of application process for employment laws and regulations.
- Coordinate the new hire process with the department leaders and employee health to ensure all employment requirements are met.
- Coordinate new hire background screenings of employees to ensure compliance (DFS, DCI, etc.).
- Maintain CNA abuse registry checks for all CNA’s.
- Maintain approved PVHC’s driver’s list.
- Oversea Powell High School Work Experience Students and communication with PHS staff.
- Manage termed employee files.
- Assists with exit interviews and 60-day conversations.
- Present Human Resources Presentations during New Employee Orientation.
- Manage license verification process for staff per state and federal guidelines.
- Attend career fairs and hiring events as needed.
- Maintain accurate record of posted positions and applicants.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school degree or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.
- Use of Windows Excel and Word as well as small business application, and Health Care systems Applications.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to understand the basic metric system.
- Operation of typical office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, calculator, FAX, Copiers, Microsoft suite. Canva knowledge is a plus.
- Interpersonal relations and personnel functions.
- Create and interpret graphs.
- Read, write and speak in English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly lift or move objects weighing 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
